A little paint goes a long way!

So I ventured out seeking creative and inexpensive ways to "re-design" my living room. There is still so much to do - BUT I did gather the courage to re-do my stair banister.  I had some  leftover paint from some chairs I painted last year.  I did need to buy more painters tape and another can of paint (for touch-ups) So the total cost of my banister re-do was $10.   The room is still a work in progress---but its a start!
Here are the "before" and "after" pictures.  Now, if I could just tear out that carpet!
