ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR FAMILY CANNING

There are important details in this email. Please read it carefully. Anyone who registers for family canning is responsible to know this information. We are out of the office for the Labor Dayholiday until September 7th.
Next week we will begin registering online for Family Canning – Chili con carne (with beans andground beef).  The registration links will be emailed on Tuesday, September 7th around 9:00 am.  Save this email for future reference until the chili is finished. There will be a separate link for each day we are scheduling. When you receive the links, take time to read the instructions given on the website.
Chili will cost $30.00/case of 24, 14.5 oz cans. Canning days are Friday, October 22nd, Tuesday, November 2nd & Wednesday, November 3rd. You can only sign up for one shift (2.5 hours) per person. There will be no humanitarian projects to take the place of working on the floor. If you will be helping others sign up, please plan ahead and have all of their information available. You will need their first & last name, email address, phone number and number of cases they want to order. All requested information must be valid.
We are trying something new and not setting a limit on how much you can order. We do ask you to carefully consider your order amount so you are purchasing what you order. (We reserve the right to set a limit if the demand is too great or we don’t have a full crew to help). 
 (The practice site is still available if you haven’t had a chance to see it or you want to refresh your memory on how the sign-up works. Remember this is only a practice link. The real sign-up is for Chili and won’t be available until you receive the next email on Tuesday, Sept. 7th. Please use the undo code to cancel any shift you schedule on the practice site so we will have enough places for all to become familiar with how it works.)
If all of this works, (online scheduling & no limits on orders) this might be the wave of the future.  It will be successful IF we get enough people scheduled to fill the shifts and IF we can produce the amount of product requested. If we don’t have the workers, we won’t have the product.
NO CHILI WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP UNTIL THURSDAY, NOV 4TH AND FRIDAY, NOV 5TH, 8AM - 3:30 PM.

You can go to the website at any time between Sept 7 - Oct 5th to schedule, cancel or move to another shift. You will need to remember the "Undo Code", created by you during the registration. This code allows only you to make changes to your schedule. (The Cannery, as administrators of this signup, can make changes or help with scheduling.)

We plan to send a reminder via email 5-7 days before your scheduled shift, but it is your responsibility to write down your schedule or return to the website to verify your shift. If you must make any changes (scheduling, cancels, moves) to your schedule after the closing date of October 5th, you will need to contact the Cannery at 801-785-0998 to request the change.

If a conflict arises after you have scheduled a shift, PLEASE DON’T FORGET TO CANCEL (“UNDO”) YOUR SHIFT SO OTHERS WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO COME.  We will be tracking the "No Shows" (those who don't come and haven't cancelled).
